where’s godzilla when you really need him?!?

While researching some ideas for a client, I stumbled across this little jem. I was gonna post it for its timeless design and illustration…then I noticed that little needle in the background.

Here’s proof of just one of those creations. Our very own Steve Parsons (lead vocals) and Bill Morgan (bass) work their ass off 9-5 in our wharehouse and then go home to continue pouring their blood, sweat and tears into JUPITER CRASH. Here’s a sample of them turning it out at the Showbox a few months ago. Keep it up fellas. Respect.
New York Photos
Monday, October 15th, 2007
This past weekend I rented a burly ass film scanner from Glazer’s to scan all negatives and slides that I shot in New York. Since I returned my Nikon D200 in anticipation for the new D300 I was confined to shooting on a Hasselblad that I’m borrowing from a friend. It really had been a long time since I shot any amount of film, due to being busy working on other artwork and having access to a digital camera made me sort of forget the awesome camera I had in my closet. I’m really pleased with how a lot of the images turned out and I would definitely like to shoot more medium and large format film.
They’re not in any particular order, but here are the photos.
High Dynamic Range
Friday, October 12th, 2007

Recently I started playing around with High Dynamic Range or HDR processing for photos. Basically HDR takes all the info captured in a camera’s raw file, all exposure and lightness information and merges it all together. When processed correctly you can evenly distribute detail throughout the entire image. On the original image the clouds were overexposed in order to light the subject properly. Using HDR it’s possible to get more natural detail. This one isn’t a great example of what it can do, but it was fun processing it and I can’t wait to do more!
The Unconscious Mind

So, last night I fell asleep real early. At like 9 o’clock or some nonsense. A little while later my girlfriend asks “do you want to go to bed?” To, which my 90% asleep self replies with:
“The bridge people are going to get me.”

What does that even mean? I also dreamt that someone was trying to kill me and that lived at my parents’ house, and I ended staying in Corin’s apartment to hide out. I don’t even know if Corin lives in an apartment (I would picture him in a lighthouse). I also dreamt that my girlfriend was watching footage of me saying nonsense in my sleep on YouTube and laughing at me.
It was weird…
